How do you get your book out of the 'too-hard basket', and into the hands of readers?
Many people dream of getting their ideas and words out to the world, but are put off because they have no idea where to start, and it feels way too difficult.
Perhaps you've already translated your ideas into words, but the world of conceptualisation, storyboards, editing, proofreading, layout, cover design, traditional or self-publishing, selling online or in shops seems overwhelming? What do CMYK, RGB and DPI mean? What are bleeds and crop marks?
Whatever stage you're at in the creative process, I can help. With over 20 years of experience aiding in the production and publication of more than 230 books, I'd love to talk to you about the best way forward for you and your book.
This is your baby! Let's work together to give it every chance to grow and thrive in the best way possible!
Answer five questions and I'll suggest the best publishing approach for your book and your goals.
Tick off each stage as you go. Steps marked Need help? are ones Mono Unlimited can handle for you.
Before your first consultation or once you're ready to proceed, use this checklist to gather everything Monique will need to begin working on your book. The more prepared you are, the smoother and faster the process will be.
Not everything on this list may apply to your project – Monique will guide you on exactly what she needs at your first meeting.
Once you've gathered your materials, the next step is to request a quote so Monique can assess the scope of your project.
Fill in as much detail as you can below. Monique will review your information and be in touch to discuss your project and provide a personalised quote.
There is no automated pricing – every book is unique and Monique will always discuss costs with you personally before any commitment is made.
Your quote request has been sent to Monique at Mono Unlimited. You should receive a personal response within a few business days.
Please note – you will not receive an automatic confirmation email, but Monique will be in touch directly to discuss your project and provide a personalised quote. If you haven't heard back within a week, please follow up at info@monounlimited.com or call 0403 264 263.

Select one or more formats to learn what's involved and whether they're right for your project. You can combine formats – for example, a locally printed paperback plus an eBook.
All those terms that make publishing sound more complicated than it needs to be – explained simply.
Monique offers five eBook options, listed here from least to most comprehensive. All costs assume Mono Unlimited is also doing the layout for the print version of the book, as those files form the basis of the eBook. If you only want an eBook with no print version, this will be quoted separately.
Contact Monique for exact pricing on any of these options.
For Options 3–5 below, you'll need to decide between two eBook formats before production begins. The cost is the same either way.
Content is fluid and auto-fits the screen. Readers can choose their own font and size. Best for novels and chapter books. Images are included but may not appear in the exact position they do in the print version.
Each page is a precise digital rendition of the printed page. Images stay exactly positioned. On small screens, readers may need to zoom and scroll. Best for picture books, magazines, art books, and comics.
Note: some online retailers do not accept fixed layout eBooks, or only accept them for children's picture-story books. This may affect your choice of distribution platform.
Not sure which option is right for you? Monique is happy to talk through the options at your free initial consultation – no commitment required.

underthesun.net.au is a cost-effective alternative to Amazon. It is an online shop where your book can be listed for sale while you return a higher profit margin and more regular payments.
You supply printed copies to Mono Unlimited on consignment. When someone orders, Monique handles the invoicing, payment, and postage – and pays you monthly for copies sold.
Your eBook is listed for instant digital download. Customers pay and receive the file automatically – no postage, no handling. Your profit margin is higher here than through Amazon or Apple Books.
A flip book is an interactive digital format where pages turn like a real book on screen – especially popular for children's picture story books. Customers purchase and read online, making it a wonderful complement to a printed edition.
You set your own price, retain copyright, and can sell through other channels at the same time – Underthesun is a non-exclusive arrangement. You only pay a merchant/handling fee on copies that actually sell.
When Mono Unlimited has been involved in the production or publication of your book, you receive 75% of the recommended retail price on every copy sold through Underthesun – a significantly higher return than any mainstream online retailer.
Underthesun is also open to authors who have produced their books through other publishers or printers. You receive 65% of the RRP on each sale – still considerably more than most authors earn through Amazon – with no orders, postage, or credit card payments to manage. All of that is taken care of for you.
Whichever option applies to you, it's a straightforward way to reach more readers and keep more of what you earn – without any of the fulfilment headaches.
Whether you're in Melbourne or overseas, the first conversation costs you nothing and commits you to nothing. We'll talk about your project, what you're hoping to achieve, and whether Monique is the right person to help bring your book to life.
Consultations are available in person (Melbourne) or on Zoom anywhere in the world. Zoom sessions can be recorded so you can refer back to everything discussed.
